Anything that is comfortable and stretchy so that is allows you to move without restriction; leggings and t-shirts are usually ideal. At the end of practice we lie back in savasana so you may also want to bring socks and jumper to keep you warm. Mats, blocks and blankets will be provided at any yoga classes at the Rosieglo space. Please bring your own mat to any private classes. Please do not use foam or camping mats as these do not provide the necessary grip and cushioning for your yoga practice and can cause injury.
I'm not very flexible, is yoga right for me?
Of course!! We all have to start somewhere and yoga is the best place to begin if you want to improve your strength and flexibility whilst deepening your understanding of the body. You will soon see an improvement in your flexibility with regular yoga practice.
Should I eat or drink before class?
It's best to avoid eating anything to heavy or large meals 2 hours before your yoga practice. Make sure you are well hydrated but avoid drinking too much just before class. If you do need some energy try eating some fruit, yogurt or raw food energy bar. You can bring water to the class but its best just to take sips throughout the class.
What if I have an injury?
Yoga is a great way to help rehabilitation after injuries and can be really beneficial for many health issues. Please check with your doctor before undertaking any exercise plan. Most injuries or health concerns can be catered for, feel free to contact me before class to discuss any of your concerns or tell me before class.
As with any exercise please take personal responsibility for your practice and listen to your body. Do not do anything that causes you any pain. If you experience pain during the class please let me know and we can find a modification.
